Apoorva Joshi
Doctoral Student in Material Science and Engineering

Hi, I'm Apoorva Joshi.
I'm a fourth year graduate student in Material Science at Dartmouth College and love space exploration. I'm passionate about materials engineering especially understanding the fundamental mechanisms behind complex alloys to tune their transport properties. I currently work on thermal transport in materials, especially interested in the interplay between phonons and magnons. Currently the characterization tools I work with are neutron diffraction, scattering, electron microscopy, physical property measurements.
My career aspirations are two-fold: Scientific Research and Scientific Policies. My Research interests lie at the intersection of energy materials and space research.
Alternatively, I'm also a Bharatanatyam dancer and a food geek and if you don't find me in the lab you will find me devoting hours to these two pursuits.
